As I write this blog it’s the start of October. I know that all too soon my winter wardrobe will be in full-force!
What I miss most about my summer clothes is C.O.L.O.U.R!
In the winter months, I feel my wardrobe can look a little uninspiring...do you feel this way too?
There’s nothing wrong with wearing dark colours, BUT a splash of colour really can help make us look more youthful, vibrant and happy!
Let me show you how:
Top Style Tips:
Blazers quickly add a touch of ‘urban chic’ to the look of a casual outfit.
Look how my grey tee-shirt is ‘up-styled’ with a bright blazer and an eye-catching necklace.
I like to ‘rouche-up’ the arms on blazers to give the appearance of effortless style (eye wink!).
Top Style Tips:
Something as simple as a bold and bright necklace could be all it takes for that extra little bit of WOW!
I’m wearing an ordinary camisole, cardigan and jeans, BUT…
…the bold necklace gives the illusion that my outfit‘s been ‘thought about’. (When actually, it’s an easy go-to ‘outfit’.)
Patterns are GREAT for pairing with coloured necklaces!
If your outfit has a pattern, look for hues within that pattern to ‘pull-out’, show off and ‘highlight’ those colours with a coloured necklace. I think you’ll LOVE the results!!

Top Style Tips:
Just because winter is on its merry way doesn’t mean you have to pack away all your summer dresses.
Experiment by teaming your dresses with a pair of coloured tights and a chunky winter cardigan for all those cosy winter walks or lazy days indoors.

Top Style Tips:
I love to see a bright bag with a dark winter coat or jacket! A striking coloured bag immediately makes outerwear look more stylish!
Try matching a bright pink bag with bright pink lips for a photo-shoot worthy style statement!
Top Style Tips:
If you like to dress head to toe in dark colours, then a pair of bright/patterned shoes will not only add a focal point to your outfit, but will also give the effect that you’re one of those effortlessly uber stylish people (eye wink!).
I’m a BIG believer in wearing what makes you feel happy!
I’m not one for rules, rather my wish for you is just to have fun experimenting with colour.
A good tip to remember is that most neutral colours such as white, cream, grey, black, taupe, brown and navy goes with most other colours – great news for everyone!
BUT, should you need a little help with matching colours, click here to see the blog designed for you. I think you’ll love how easy it is!
Colour doesn’t have to be scary and isn’t just for ‘other’ people – wear it to celebrate your unique style and personality.
It could be just what you need at this time of the year!
