My Tutorial For You…
My Top Beauty Tips…
Sculpting and slimming the face involves two key principles: Dark shades recede features back, while light shades bring features forward. This simple rule should help you understand what I’m about to teach you…
For amazing cheekbones:
Using your brush, sweep over the darker side of the compact and tap off the excess.
Suck in your cheekbones to make an ‘O’ or better still create a fish face (when no one is looking!).
Now apply the darker shade with sweeping movements under your cheekbone into the ‘hollow’ of your cheeks. Follow the hollow up towards your hairline.
Next, wipe your brush clean and use the lighter side to sweep pigment onto the highest part of your cheekbones. To locate your cheekbones, this is easy to do, just place your thumb directly above your ear tragus (the little nub that sticks out). Then, place your index finger directly below your nostril. This line that your hand creates is exactly where every person’s cheekbone is located on their face. Now, use the brush or your finger to sweep a line onto the outer edge of your cheekbones and blend in upwards.
Define the jawline:
Apply the dark shade along the very edge of your jawline and a little underneath to define the area;
Blend the shade in, to create a seamless contour downwards into the neck.
More lifted eyes:
Apply a sweep of the darker shade into the socket;
Now apply the light shade onto the lid and the brow bone.
Make a forehead smaller:
Firstly, sweep the darker shade along the hairline;
Next, swirl over the temples to create a shadow effect.
To refine the nose:
Take your brush and squeeze the bristles of the brush together with your fingers, for a more precise application.
Place your brush in the darker shade and pick up a little powder, tap off excess.
Using the brush, draw a line down either side of your nose – making sure not to make the lines too heavy – it’s best to build up shading gradually.
Next, apply a little more of the darker shade, just under the tip of your nose.
Finally, using your finger, (or a clean makeup brush) blend the lines to the sides of your nose and under the tip of your nose so it looks like natural shading .
