Regardless of shape or size, ALL eyes are beautiful and individual!
But the fun part is to be able to play up their shape once in a while – and today, I’m going to teach you HOW! It’s all down a clever little makeup technique called ‘cut crease’.
Learn how easy it is to master this makeup trick and enjoy BIGGER, BOLDER and even more BEAUTIFUL eyes!
It’s always important to prep your eyelids before applying eyeshadow – this ensures the shadow lasts longer AND the colour is more intense and truer to form.
To prep and prime your lids, simply follow the steps below:
I the video I teach you a ‘cut crease‘ technique, this term is simply the name for using eyeshadow to ‘cut’ across the crease of the eye to create more depth of colour to the crease and socket of your eyes. This, in turn, lifts and opens the eye, making it appear larger!
Mastering the ‘cut crease’ is such a great little trick because whatever shape or size your eyes are, you can easily transform them into looking bigger and brighter with a few easy brush strokes!
A vital step for using this technique, however, is getting the right brushes – my brush set of choice is the Nanshy Masterful Collection because whatever you need, it’s got it!!
The Nanshy Brush Set features all of the essential brushes you could ever need, and because each brush has been expertly designed to pick up just the right amount of product, they make applying makeup seem effortless, feel natural and look completely seamless.
No more hard work for YOU!!
You can work with any colours to create a cut crease, but the crucial step is to try to make the eyes look as natural as possible.
NEUTRAL tones will help you get this right – and using one that’s a shade darker than your skin tone works best to create that natural effect!
My go-to palette for the perfect neutrals is the Blinc palette – it’s versatile and convenient, and cleverly combines neutral shades to bolder ones, letting you create a look for ANY occasion!
And BEST of all, the shades suit EVERY skin tone and eye colour so now beautiful and natural eyes are YOURS to stay!
To keep this look feeling fresh and pretty, I love using a colour that’s a shade lighter OR the same colour as my skin tone. A light shade will help brighten the look by opening the eyes up and in turn, making them appear BIGGER!
The most beautiful, brightening shade that not only makes eye colours look more vivid but instantly makes the eyes look pretty, natural and wide awake is the shade ‘Hyaline’ from the Blinc palette.
This is one of my favourite shades to use to create this everyday cut crease look – simply follow these quick steps:
BONUS TIP: Adding the shade ‘Gypsum’ from the blinc palette take this shade from the arch of your brow to the end of the brow tail with your ring finger and blending out with feathery strokes will really help lift and OPEN the eye further!
This little magic Clarifier pencil can do SO many things!
Because it’s been specifically created for the lower waterline to help reduces the look of tired eyes it can be a miracle help on early morning!
When this pencil is used on the lower waterline as in the video, it acts as an eraser on discoloured or a reddish lower waterline. And lightening this area can really help enlarge the look of the eye!
PLUS, the ‘nude’ or ‘flesh tone’ of this Clarifier pencil shade can sometimes be more effective than a ‘white’ eyeliner shade as it brightens the eyes while still keeping them looking natural without being too harsh!
I use this trick most days, and especially on those when I’m feeling a little drained – it instantly picks up my look and lifts my whole face!
Add a little DRAMA to your lashes with this ingenious lash primer called Code FFL (the FFL stands for ‘forget fake lashes!).
To really help create voluminous lashes (especially if yours are thin or sparse) let the Code FFL lash primer put the ‘WOW’ in your eyes!
What I love most about this primer is that it works on ANY mascara to really PIMP up your existing look!
The technique consists of little fibres that adhere to each lash creating more volume, length and depth than without -and here’s HOW:
My current favourite mascara is the Lord and Berry ‘Back in Black’ – I wear it every day!! I love the intensity of the black and the extra thin brush manages to coat every single little lash (including any baby lashes that larger brushes seem to miss!).
By coating every SINGLE lash it helps play up the ENTIRE shape of your eye! Here’s a quick recap:
Who knew that you DON’T actually NEED to use EYELINER to create amazing looking and defined eyes!? You can simply use a dark brown or black eyeshadow for a much softer AND easier approach!
Depending on the intensity you want, either use the shadow wet or dry with a little liner makeup brush (the Nanshy brush set has the perfect one for this tip!)
What I LOVE most about this trick, is that if you struggle with eyeliner it’s the PERFECT way to creating depth of colour and adding a soft and natural definition – without the worry of shaky lines!!
I hope I’ve inspired you to try something new with your eye makeup!
Thank you so much for watching.
