As a professional makeup artist, I’m often asked by my clients which products will help to conceal skin conditions, scars, marks, even tattoos.
I’ve tried and tested SO many different products and searched high and wide over the years to find a solution that offers great COVERAGE, but that still looks smooth and NATURAL.
In the photo’s you’ll see the scars on my legs and from my own personal experience living with marks on my skin, I know first-hand how scars and skin conditions can have a HUGE impact on our self-confidence, this is a subject very close to my heart.
I’m delighted to be able to share with you the camouflage makeup I use personally and professionally.
The Rio Camouflage Makeup is MY go-to make-up confidence booster! It’s a professional corrective cosmetic makeup for home use that’s been technically advised by the British Association of Skin Camouflage (BASC).
The creams are specially created to suit all skin types and offer truly AMAZING coverage for scars, birthmarks, acne, vitiligo, rosacea and even tattoos.
The concealer is fragrance-free, smudge resistant and waterproof, and is designed to remain on the skin for 6-8 hours so you can relax in the knowledge that it won’t budge until YOU want it to!
This INCREDIBLE skin camouflaging set comes with 4 different shades of colourperfect™ concealers and a mixing pot, so you can seamlessly blend shades together to find YOUR perfect colour match!
As an added bonus, this set also includes a professional step-by-step DVD featuring a Certified Make-Up Artist from the British Association of Skin Camouflage to help you achieve the best results for YOUR skin at home! This set will give you the freedom to rock your look YOUR way! Feel GORGEOUS in floaty skirts and pretty short-sleeved tops without feeling like your skin is holding you back!
Try to do all of your mixing and applications in daylight to ensure the most natural look for your skin tone.
To remove, simply use a cream based remover and cotton wool pads. Soap and water will lift the camouflage but won’t totally remove it.
For a natural look, try to build up light layers gradually until you get the coverage you like – applying too much product initially could result in a heavy and conspicuous look.
If the above does not fully cover your tattoos, apply a thin base layer of the complimentary colour (opposite) of your tattoo to cover the area, before applying your skin colour matched camouflage cream. You can purchase pigmented creams from theatrical make-up shops together with the complementary colour theory may help.
